St. Luke’s, in Church Road, is in urgent need of help! A recent inspection has shown all the very old windows are in need of repair and/or replacement. The glass in the stained glass window that overlooks the road is thought to pre-date the church and could be very old indeed.
The repairs are very specialised and the estimated cost of the job could be up to £18000.
The church is over 125 years old, and has been serving the village of Pamber Heath throughout this time, first as both school and church, until the school was shut in 1909. The church contains memorials to villagers who lost their lives serving their country. It is still a thriving church today, holding services every Sunday, including Sunday school. A popular Coffee Morning operates every Thursday, to which all are very welcome.
You are invited to come along at any time during the day. Whether this is to help by contributing to the appeal, or just to visit and have a look inside you will be very welcome indeed. Thank you
