Prayer is a wonderful gift from our loving God. In prayer, God draws us to Himself, enters into our hearts and lives, speaks, guides, and listens to us. At the same time, we are able to communicate, share with, and grow in fellowship with our God.
Some bible passages concerning prayer include the following. "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20, NIV). "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4: 6-7, NIV)
