St Peters

It is thought that the foundations of this ancient Parish Church date back to the twelfth century. The Doomsday survey of 1086 states that Tadley had a chapel and, like many Anglo Saxon churches, it was probably a wooden structure and may well have been on this site. If so then Christian worship may have taken place here for a much longer time than the current building.

With the rapid growth of Tadley the ancient Parish of Tadley has been split into two ecclesiastical parishes, St Mary’s church in Newchurch Road serves North Tadley and St Pauls on the Green serves central and south Tadley. The parish also includes Pamber Heath, which has its own church of St Luke in Church Road.

St Paul's and St Luke’s are the main focus of our Sunday worship as they are located in the main centres of population. St Peters is used at 6pm on Sunday evenings from Easter to Harvest and on Christmas Day. The exact timings for services can be found on the church calendar.

St Peter’s is also popular for weddings, due to its beautiful setting, and funerals, due to its proximity to Tadley Cemetery.

Unfortunately it is necessary to lock the church, however, if you wish to visit please contact the Rector

Details of our services can be found on the Worship Page
